BSW students Christine Kwon and Maya Novick had presentations accepted at the National Conference of Undergraduate Research (NCUR):
- Christine’s presentation is entitled, “Adverse Childhood Experiences, Intimate Partner Violence, Anger, and Mental Health Symptoms Among Incarcerated Women”, and Rachel Garthe served as her faculty mentor.
- Maya’s presentation is entitled, “Intimate Partner Violence Against Transgender and Gender Expansive Individuals: A Review of Existing Literature.” Rachel Garthe served as their faculty mentor, and Allyson Blackburn (PhD student in Psychology) served as a mentor.
BSW student, Christine Kwon, and Rachel Garthe, had a presentation accepted at the Society for Prevention Research: “Adverse Childhood Experiences, Intimate Partner Violence and Mental Health among Incarcerated Women: The Role of State Anger”
MSW student, Alexis Krones, had a presentation accepted at the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA): “An uphill battle: Sexual violence preventionists’ experiences engaging community members and partners” with co-authors Agnes Rieger, Rachel Garthe, & Nicole Allen.
